Digital Analyst (GTM, SGTM, BigQuery)

We are Optimics – a team of 28 people passionate about marketing and advertising technologies, digital analytics, and data.
Together with our clients, we create new ways to work with their marketing data from A to Z and help them get the most out of it for their business.

We’re creative and curious. We want to explore, challenge ourselves, and show others what’s possible.

We might be a small agency, but we play in the top league. We became the first full-stack Google partner in the Czech market, have long-term partnerships with Adobe, Meiro, and SAS, and work with leading Czech and international companies of all sizes.

We don’t have an investor behind us and we’re not building to sell. Optimics is fully in our hands - we’re building something that goes beyond us. We play the infinite game.

We don’t wear a mask at work - we’re ourselves. We value each other’s differences and talents, we can laugh at ourselves, and we don’t take ourselves too seriously. But when it comes to our clients and our services, quality and professionalism always come first.

What you’ll do in this role

  • From the start, you’ll be working on a project for one of the largest Czech banks – your main task will be tracking processes within internal banking applications (such as internet banking).

  • The data is partially processed in Google Analytics and partially in the client’s internal app.

  • Part of the job is more technical – you’ll work in Google Cloud, use GTM and SGTM, pull data into BigQuery, etc.

  • The other part of the role is more analytical – for example, you’ll need to find and fix issues when data doesn’t flow correctly or reports display incorrect results.

  • This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in digital analytics, who knows GA4 and GTM, and wants to dive deeper into areas like cloud or server-side tracking and grow in those fields.

  • You’ll work in a small, well-functioning agile team, closely collaborating with one Optimics colleague and a few people from the client’s side (data architect, analysts, testers, product owner).

  • It’s a long-term project, but if the work becomes too repetitive, if you stop learning, or you feel the need for a change, we’ll be ready to rotate you to a different project.

What you’ll need

  • Very good knowledge of GTM and GA4.

  • JavaScript skills (for example, being able to create custom JavaScript variables in GTM).

  • Experience with BigQuery and basic understanding of how Cloud and Cloud Run functions work (you’ll work in Google Cloud Platform).

  • SQL skills that allow you to perform ad-hoc analyses of GA data in BigQuery.

  • Experience with SGTM is an advantage, but we can quickly teach you everything you need.

  • Communicative English – the project involves some English usage, mostly in written form.

What you can expect from us

  • Support from the whole team, mutual inspiration, and plenty of space for learning and personal growth.

  • Flexibility - we don’t have fixed working hours. What matters are results, not when you arrive or leave the office.

  • Hybrid office/home office setup 3+2 (or more days in the office if you prefer) – during the three onsite days, you’ll also spend some time directly at the client’s office.

  • Optimics office in Prague’s Holešovice district with private parking, chill-out zones, snacks, a 3D printer, and more.

  • 5 weeks of vacation + 5 extra days for sick leave or charity activities/volunteering.

  • Other classic benefits like a Multisport card, company phone plan, or choosing your own hardware.

  • If you're interested, we’ll support you in attending top industry events and help you build your personal brand – we often speak at conferences ourselves.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you, and we hope it’s the start of a great long-term collaboration!
